  I just would like to know if you have any plan to do an hdmi card for an expresscard34 slot.

  how would you record your hdmi uncompressed HD signal to your laptop
  if you tied up the 34 slot for the HDMI card you want ?

  I was thinking of using a cat 5 cable with this type of extender

  For recording I wasn’t thinking of recording uncompressed;
  I just want to avoid the mpeg 2 compression and record in proress or blackmagic codec into a firewire little big disk raid setup connected to the firewire 800 port.
