    Hi.

How does those two compare ?

Can you say that one is superior to other etc?

I belive both of them are 4:2:2 but is there eny difference ?

I ask all this because i have plan to swap to mac later this year
and trying to figure out how it is going to be in my workflow as
    some pc suits will remain.

    Hi Margus,

Further to Kaspar’s comment, both codecs will work fine on your 3-disk array. ProRes is supplied with Final Cut Pro so presumably that means it will only be available for the Mac platform. That’s fine as long as you don’t need to share files with Windows users. I think that all of the other compressed, editing codecs in Final Cut Pro are 8-bit whereas ProRes is 10-bit so it has some extra quality if you need it but are unable to use full uncompressed quality because you don’t have enough disk storage.
