  Decklink : play quicktime movie through the card

  Hi all,
  I am searching for playing movie in Protools through a Decklink HD Extreme Card.

  In fact, in the pane pref, the option “Enable Legacy QT PLayout” is grey and I can’t activate it.

  Anyone know how I could active this option.

  Thanks in advance for any help, and sorry for my bad english (i’m french).

  hi,

  i’m also trying to figure out why this option is even here if we can’t use it. was just about to search the archives (probably will anyway).

  anyway, i’d really like to be able to use this feature with my decklink hd extreme. if anyone can tell us how it’s done i’d be most grateful.

  i’m on an intel mac and mainly use my decklink with after effects and fcp.

  The only card that I know of that can achieve this is the Auora Pipe series of cards. However, Aurora is on it’s last throws and never came out with an HD card. ProTools users generally go with the Aurora FuseX for this feature. It’s a great feature that you find you can’t live without after using it.
  Sadly our Decklink and AJA cards don’t have this feature.
