  HDlink Apple 23″ display Black on sides

  I am probably not serching the posts correctly and not finding what I’m looking for, so I’m gonna’ ask this question.

  Is there alway Black on the sides of the Apple display with HDlink when viewing DVCProHD 1080i60 ?
  I can understand the top and bottom but not the sides as well.

  Here’s my set-up.

  Hardware/software:

  1 brand new Apple 23″ display
  1 brand new HDlink with HDLink utility 2.2 installed on system
  Dual 2.7ghz G5
  OS 10.4.7
  Dechlink HDPro single link
  4gig DDR
  Huge U320R
  FCP 5.1.1

  My Footage, FCP setting & HDlink Utility:

  1) Footage shot on HVX200 as 1080i60 =(1280X1080i60)
  2) FCP / Easy setup / Blackmagic HDTV 1080i59.94 DCVPro HD
  3) HDlink utility/ 1×2 Zoom / animorphic 16.9 on (with it off I get even more black on the sides)

  What am I missin’ here ?
