I have a G5 dual 2.3 (the older one with pci-x not pcie) We need to be able to go in and out of final cut pro to a digi-beta deck, a beta-sp deck, and a dsr-45 dvcam deck as well as monitor DVCPROHD off the timeline to a panasonic HD monitor. My plan is to purchase a Decklink HD Pro 4:4:4 PCI-X (none of the other decklink hd cards will work in my machine right?) I will also purchase a Multibridge Pro to use as a standalone converter to get all the ins and outs I need. Is this a sound plan? Am I missing anything here?

Also a question on the Multibridge Pro. On Blackmagic’s website they only have a connection diagram for the multibridge extreme, not the multibridge pro. From the tiny pictures on the site I couldn’t tell what the specific connections were on the multibridge pro. Can anyone clarify?

    thanks, tim

    Hi Tim,

Yes, the combination of the DeckLink HD Pro 4:4:4 (PCI-X) card and the Multibridge Pro will enable you to do everything that you have described.

Thank you for pointing out the missing connection diagram from our web site. We’ll rectify that very soon. In the meanwhile, please download a Photoshop photo of Multibridge Pro from here.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
