    Hi Margus,

    That’s a tough question as there are a lot of nice HDMI monitors out there and we have been testing with a wide range of brands and types. I do know we have been particularly happy with Panasonic HDMI TV’s including the following 50″ and 32″ models: TH-50PHD8UK and TX-32LX500A.

    Hi.

    Those are not 1080 in resolution. 720 only as i underestand.
    Does not this make eny difference?

    Hi Margus,

    Both of those Panasonic monitors will happily accept a HD1080 signal on their inputs but, as with most HDMI TV’s, are not full resolution displays. They scale the HD1080 signal to fit the screen resolution which I believe is 1366 x 768. Most flat screen TV’s are not full resolution 1920 x 1080. Plasma is never full resolution and but there are some models of LCD TV’s which are full resolution.

    Hi Jerry,

    Wow! I was definitely unaware of that TV and it’s exciting that there is finally a Plasma TV which supports full 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. I’ve never seen one before so this may be a first.

    Thanks for posting the links. Are you aware of any others or is this the first Plasma TV with full screen resolution 1920 x 1080 support of which you are aware?

    Why do you Wow for plasma rather than on LCD.

    Luke,
    The honker that was at NAB was the 103″ plasma from Panasonic. 1920×1080. Only, da da $70,000.

    I like my elite 720p. The only drawback is that 3 1/2 years ago HDMI was not available.
    So, Blue ray is going to be iffy with component and HDDVD will not work at all. Needless to say, I don’t intend on buying another car priced TV anytime soon. With providers providing spotty 1080, I feel pretty safe with the 720p.

    Hi Margus,

    I was not indicating a preference for Plasma and in fact I generally prefer LCD. The “Wow” was because I was previously unaware of any plasma screen that had a full 1920 x 1080 resolution and now Jerry has pointed one out. So that came as news to me.

    Well with Intensity at only $249, it is still affordable after buying the $70 000 plasma TV 😉
