Is the Multibridge Pro Utility functional when it’s functioning in capture/playback mode? Also having some issues with RGB in’s and out’s… I’m thinking I need the reference video in. Do I loop the referenc through my beta (where I’m NOT gettng RGB in or out) or do I need 2 reference feeds??? It’s been awhile since I’ve had to play engineer. Forgive me if I missed any details…

    FCP 5.1.1. QT 7.1.2. OS X 10.4.7. Deck Link 5.6.2. MB Pro 6.5.3.

    Hi Matt,

The Multibridge Utility is not functional when you’re using the device in capture/playback mode. All configurations should be done in the DeckLink preference pane located in System Preferences.

What issues are you facing? We don’t support RGB input with the Multibridge Pro. You are talking about YCbCr right?

Yes, that’s what I mean… component… Just in a hurry when I posted. We have so far, got SDI video and Composite video to output. I have captured SDI w/ machine control but ran into the block when trying to output to Beta SP and haven’t gotten further than that. But double checking the wiring and such leads me to the multibridge (settings or hardware, I’m not certain)…

matt I think your talking about having a stable component connection back and forth.

You could try routing a cable from the synch pass through on your beta deck into the multibridge synch in. That might work.

    Borjis,
Nope, I have that already. I have a stable composite signal into my deck. Test record looks great… Pass through to my monitor is stable with sync in (not in you get the vertical blanking roll about midway on monitor only). What I am NOT getting is component in or out from the beta SP. The wiring we had worked perfectly with our AJA pro I/O… I tested the system prefs out and I can uncheck the single field preview and see immediate results on my timeline when I switch programs back to FCP. No setting in there has brought up my component signal…

okay, now I have it. I reseated the cabling… didn’t change them or swap positions. Just pulled them out and replugged them in. Both sides work. Did I miss a step and have all this plugged in to soon? At any rate, the early captures and outputs look VERY clean. The SDI side is abso-FREAKIN-lutely pristine (it should be in Webster’s if it’s not already)…
