Hello, I have a FCP 4.5 project that I’m outputting through a decklink HD then into the HDLink connected to my HDTV with the DVI. My sequence is set up to playback DVCPRO HD 1080i 60. Everything plays back real time in the time line and in the viewer. I have the output set to HDTV 720p 59.94 8 bit because it was the only codec that showed the image properly on my HDTV. The problem is that it doesn’t playback on the HDTV, it only shows the frame I stop the timeline on. Now, it will playback realtime on the HDTV when using the 1080i HDTV 29.97 codec but it is x2 scaled. How can I get it to playback properly and look correct? Do I need to update to FCP 5? Thanks.

    Hi,

I’ve responded to the same email you’d sent me. Basically it sounds like your HDTV display is too small and does not support 1920×1080. HDLink does not scale the video so it will appear “cut off” when you attempt to play 1080 HD on a display that is too small.

    regards
