    Hi,
We’re developing interactive applications for TV use and were thinking of outputting image and sound with SDI using a Decklink Pro card.
The first problem we stumbled accross that when displaying video on “Decklinks” windows display is that the playback appears jerky. Looks somewhat similar to a field problem, but is not. Playback is fine when using Decklinks Deckcontrol. So the problem appears to be related to displaying info thru directshow standard video renderer and decklink then “copying” it unto the SDI output. All material that moves horizontally is affected by this problem. (flash, pictures, movies etc.). We’ve tried several different codecs, and uncompressed formats, all have the same problem.
Since this problem does not exist when using for example graph edit (and decklink renderers) we’re wondering if anyone knows of a simple decklink playback application that has support for using decklinks directshow renderers. (PC only)
Is the decklink card supposed to be able to output the windows desktop in realtime? Static images look fine, but any movement causes problems.

    best regards,
    Max M

I wrote a small application in C++ that does this.
It accepts a filename to play and number of seconds that the file is long from the commandline.
And plays directly to decklink, no gui, no preview, only playback to decklink.
Is anyone aware is it allowed to publish such code, so that others that have the same problem as me don’t have to code a application themselves?

    hi Max
I am having the same problem, is it possible that you can post a link for your file, can you also explain how you fixed this so that I can raise it with Decklink and get them to fix it.

    thank you
