Hello all; thank you in advance for fielding my question.

I am capturing SD BetaSp through decklink extreme; Final Cut. My sequence and capture settings are Blackmagic NTSC 8-bit (I occasionally capture 10-bit). All is well except for a small border of black around the video picture. This becomes very annoying when placing video against a background; I have to crop all four sides.

Is there anything I can do to get a “full” video screen without this black border? Do I have to set a custom setting?

    Many thanks!

Not much you can do about it. That is the nature of capturing from analog (BetaSP) video. If you expect to output to a format that shows the entire image, such as DVD for computer playback, you will need to crop and/or resize. Or, add a constant border frame around everything.
