  DVC Pro HD codec issues

  I am hearing that there are issues with using the DVC ProHD codec. I am planning using it as an offline format for stuff shot on HDCAM. I hear that there are problems with framesize and unrendered fx playing back through the HD Monitor.

  My client wants to layback straight to HDCam via the SDI Output direct onto HDCAM without doing a conform – ie still in the dvcpro hd codec. What are the advantages/disadvantages with this? (There is too much footage to edit at full res. ) What will happen when I layback to HDCam re different frame sizes?
