    Hi!

Our Decklink Extreme still needs SDI ref on startup in order to work, despite updates to the latest drivers.

When is BM going to fix this? We don’t want to buy an SDI sync generator in addition to the expense of the DL Extreme.

It’s been more than a month since we reported this issue now…

    Thanks

    Georg

while we’re on the subject, I’m experiencing odd synch issues
    with the Multibridge Extreme.

sometimes the picture is out of synch going to tape on the monitor
    but records stable to Digibeta.

yet in preview windows with motion2 or fcp5 it shows out of synch
at first then jumps in synch.

We don’t want our clients seeing that in sessions as it looks bad.

What codec and disk setup are you using ?

    Hi!

I think it is independent of codecs, disks and prgrammes. The DLE just does not output video when it was switched on and off unless you first feed a signal into the SDI input. Switching the host computer on and off does not make a difference. If the DLE stays switched on, it is happy only after disconnecting it from the mains there is no other way to get it to work than an SDI ref. This has been described by other users as well and has been confirmed by our reseller.

For the record: We use 10 bit uncompressed codecs for both SD and HD, a SATA raid as well as FW800 drives.

same here but we use a huge systems fiber channel 1.6tb disk array for storage.
