  • MB Extreme Simultaneous Downconvert + HD output on DVI out?

Posted by Georg Misch on February 26, 2006 at 2:59 pm

    Hi!

Is it possible to use the MB Extreme to watch downconverted SD-yuv-out and simultaneously full-rez HD output on the DVI out?

This is the feature that we wanted to use the MB Extreme for, we want to check HD footage at full pixel-resolution on the DVI and colour on our SD Grade 1monitor.

    Thanks

    Hi Georg,

Yes you will be able to do so. The DVI output will be HD while the YUV out will be in SD when you enable down conversion on the analog outputs. There’s a post here previously with some information about down conversion choices:

I would need similar on Decklink HDpro-Dual:

HD on analog out to projector
downconverted HD>SD on SDI for color monitor and metering
    … at the same time.
premium would be to differentiate between SDI A/B also: A:SD, B:HD

at the moment its only possible to switch all outputs to HD or to downconverted SD.

can this be done – will it be implemented?

    thanks
