Multibridge Extreme….DVI Monitoring not working properly
I’m running a multibridge extreme on O/S X 10.4.3
It seems to have inconsistent issues with desktop display (sometimes its on sometimes not when it should be)
but more importantly, on a FCP 5 timeline preview the video shows up small in the upper corner of my dell flat panel with pink posterized garbage the same size underneath the video in a vertical rectangle.in motion2 it previews the same weird size (vertical rectangle) but in the center of the screen and without garbage.
most of the time though it will not preview at all with motion2.during installation (with latest drivers from your website) it said it had to upgrade the firmware so i did.
all other aspects of the unit work fine.
any suggestions Luke?

Also, I would suggest upgrading to OS X 10.4.5 as you might run into issues with Motion 2 in OS X 10.4.3.
Are you using the default DVI cable provided by Dell? Do you have any other displays to test the DVI output of the Multibridge with?

Is this with a particular format or all formats. When the desktop fails to display, what do you have to do to get it back up?

I’m using a rather expensive shielded DVI cable. It displays the desktop perfectly.
If I go to the blackmagic settings then close it, the desktop usually comes back up again.

I updated o/s x to 10.4.5 and consistent preview in motion2 and final cut 5 is good.
The extended desktop function is still a little hokey though.

I’ll be interested to know if this happens in another user account with admin rights.
