Question: Will current BMD hardware and drivers work on a 64-bit platform (64-bit MB, processors and XP Pro 64-bit OS? I’ve read where 32-bit apps and drivers can and do work on such systems, albeit not as well as if they too were 64-bit. I’ve also read where Adobe Prem Pro 1.5 and other memory-abusing apps typically work better on 64-bit platforms.

Since 64-bit everything will very soon be the norm, especially among enterprise/professional users, I can’t imagine why an outfit like BMD (or Adobe) has not already released 64-bit drivers/apps.

Nevermind. I found the answer. 32-bit DRIVERS will not work with Win XP Pro X64. But most 32-bit APPS will. So, until BMD releases 64-bit drivers, those of us needing 64-bit advantages are SOL.

tried to install DL driver on my HP XW9300 with win xp x64 with no luck. it’s not working.

so, in order to make use of 4GB ram for combustion, i need to have 2 OS installed. xp 32-bit for capturing videos, and then xp 64-bit for using combustion with the captured clips. it’s annoying at first, but, can’t figure anything out than that.

    cheers.
