December 14, 2005 at 9:05 pmLast I heard it’s supposed to come out six months after the MultiBridge HD is available…
That puts it where… Sometime next year?
I’m not sure that’s just what i heard from a supplier. He’s a BMD reseller but might not have gottten that info from BDM.

Hm. I guess they don’t really want to sell the Multibridge studio to us PCI-X users… -;)

December 20, 2005 at 7:07 pmThis thread has me confused. All the PCI variations has me confused.
I was told by a BM reseller that the MultiBridge Extreme ships with a PCI express “bridge” card.
This is not a PCI-e (express) card but a PCI-X card. This means that the unit as it ships now will only work with the “older” G5’s and NOT the new ones with
PCI-e slots. This is good. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks.

December 21, 2005 at 6:10 amThe PCI-X card is an option. MB Extreme comes with PCIe.
Just have a look at the BM site. The card is pictured just below the Multibridge studio.
What I am wondering is: When does the PCI-X adaptercard ship and at which price?
