December 7, 2005 at 7:51 pmYou had me going there… -;)
It’s the PCIe which is shipping.
If they haven’t changed their site from “Available” to “soon” in a couple of minutes.Gunleik
(Who’s hanging around in this forum to find out if the Studio Extreme really is what we all have been waiting for…) -

December 7, 2005 at 8:26 pmI thought they’re both PCIe. I noticed the products page still hasn’t been changed, but if you hit the refresh button on your browser a few times you get a graphic that says the Multibridge Extreme is now shipping. Or is this old news?

December 7, 2005 at 11:24 pmWhen I entered the BM site, i got the “right” frontpage.
Now bring the HVX 200 to Europe, and some reviews please!
(And if someone have some legtover $$, I’ll gladly help you out. Come to think of it, I wouldn’t mind a Varicom and a 1200 deck either… -;)

December 8, 2005 at 11:49 amhi There,
we were exibiting at the digital media world in Sydney
for the past 3 days and were showing off the Multibrige
extreme on a quad G5 with a 4GB Huge 4210 attached to it…
the systems was screaming…. and very stable,
we tried to break it and didn’t succeded lol.. the picture quality was as always superbe…. didn’t have the time to record thought might do that tomoorw if BM doesn’t take back the unit from me lol…
i was surprised to see how reponsive it was, while scrubbing..
very nice and neat….no doubt it will be a popular unit.

December 8, 2005 at 11:59 amHi John,
Multibridge Extreme went GM for MAC yesterday, PC is very close behind and we are hoping to get the PC version out next week – it is going through final QA as we speak (which takes 3-5 days)
Shipments for MAC began today.

December 8, 2005 at 12:03 pmHey Olivier!
I am really pleased to hear that everything went well. I won’t tell Grant about the unit if you don’t (-:
BTW the installer on the website is newer than the one i sent you for the show. So update to that one before you try to break it.
Cheers,
Regards,
Matt

December 8, 2005 at 1:15 pmHey Matt,
yep it all went well, i just check the online Pdf manual,
thumbs up for such clear and easy instructions to follow !
it all makes sense to me now 😉 lol…. ooppsI saw in the manual the 720 HD to 1080 HD output … interesting
Loved the little tease in the control panel HDTV Up/Down Conversion…
did i read up??it’s all very exciting really and i didn’t really try to break it it’s built like a brick lol… which came to good use to fend off the “Amber boys” from our stand …
What i meant was that we did push the G5 Quad … man what a powerfull machine was surprised to see composite modes on a 8 bit sd clip being realtime RT capable ( rotating too a crowd pleaser hehe ).
The Decklink Extreme PciE did well too. There is one feature which i would love the multibridge to do and not quite sure if it’s possible so i’ll ask you by personal email…
Well done guys and have a vb or two on me as it is well deserved…
[Matt Dowling] “I won’t tell Grant about the unit if you don’t (-:” ??? what unit ?? lol

December 8, 2005 at 1:23 pmHi Matt,
Are there actual hardware differences between the Mac version and the PC versions or are you just talking about drivers? Just making sure there isn’t a firmware difference.
Thanks
