  upgrade FCP5.0/where are BM setups?

  Just upgraded to FCP 5.0 with our Decklink extreme system.

  Using the lastest BM driver 5.1.2, OSX 10.4.2 on a dual 1Ghz G4.

  When we open up FCP and go to easy setups and audio/video settings, the BM choices are gone. We do not have the option of choosing BM 10bit or 8 bit in the capture settings. Also the deckcontrol using RS-422 is gone as well. All we have in capture presets are DV and HDV options.

  Where do everything go?

  We we run the BM deck control from our DVCPRO deck going into the Decklink extreme we do not have a video signal.

  When we change to Y, B, T video and analog audio out of our BetacamSP deck we have video but no audio.

  Hmmm.

  Hi Michelle,

  Did you run the installer after upgrading to Final Cut Pro 5? That needs to be done for the easy setups to be installed.

  Hi Michelle,

  Further to Kristian’s suggestions, please ensure you have updated to Final Cut Pro HD 5.0.3. It would be worth reviewing the support note No video output from DeckLink in Final Cut Pro HD v5.0 which describes two scenarios which prevent video output from FCP. They are both easy to fix.
