  Upgrade advice needed – Asus P5WD2

  Hi

  I’m currently running my Decklink Pro (SD) on a SuperMicro P4SCT+II motherboard with a single Pentium4 3GHz. I’m thinking of upgrading to a dualcore cpu on an asus P5WD2 motherboard. Has anyone tried this ?

  Another question I have to Luke or Matt is that I see on BMD’s support pages that it is possible to hook my Decklink Pro card on a 32bit PCI slot of the P5WD2 motherboard. The PCI slots on this model are regular PCI’s, not PCI-X. So my question is, isn’t there a downside to this ? I’m using a PCI-X equipped motherboard now, so am I going to have problems / reduced performance in any way by switching to an asus P5WD2 motherboard ?
