  DV convert to BM 8 Bit

  When a DV clip is in a “8-bit” FCP sequence, it looks “softer” after it is rendered, as compared to looking at the same “DV” video in a “DV” FCP sequence.

  I was told to convert the DV clips to 8-bit in Compressor first. There isn’t a BlackMagic 8-bit option, just the Apple 8-bit.

  If I convert to Apple 8-bit, and then place them on a Black Magic 8-bit FCP sequence, they need to be rendered.

  Is there a way to add the Black Magic 8-bit codec to Compressor?
