    I’m about to do an edit from a Panasonic 24p DVX100 camera. It will be dubbed to both BetaSP(NTSC) for broadcast and later on will be kinescoped to cinema release. Any advice before I start capturing my footage? I’m using PrePro 1.5 by the way.

    Dont know if theres a faster or better way to edit in PrePro and Panasonic 24p, but here’s what I did;
    – footage shot on ADVX100A 24p
    – digitized using Blackmagic DV 4×3 settings
    – edited even if there was fielding/strobing on the broadcast monitor
    – after approved edit, i opened a Panasonic 24p project
    – i imported the original DV project I was using for editng into the Panasonic 24p project
    – i opened my timeline and exported the sequence/media clips to decklink 8bit 4:2:2 24fps avi
    – i opened thos AVIs in an 8bit 4:2:2 24fps project. Played them in realtime without the strobing and jittering.

    Does anyone have a better workflow than this? Any input would be appreciated.
    Good thing I was only doing a 30sec spot, I cant imagine the exporting I would have to do if i was editing long for projects.
