Decklink FD Pro Dual link card cuts to black
I emailed this to Blackmagic support, but I thought I’d see If anyone else has seen this problem
At least twice a day my Blackmagic output cuts to black, if I hit play in FCP I get the spinning beach ball and have to force quit FCP. If I notice that it’s changed to black, I can save and quit FCP normally, but I have to restart the computer to get the card to behave again. If I go into the Blackmagic system preferences, the only thing I can change is the 7.5 vs. 0 setup level. (I have a waveform monitor on my Y-out/Composite line, so I can see it change) I can’t change the format from SD to HD in the monitor preferences either, the card remains locked on black until I reboot the system. Is this a possibly defective card? I have another system with the same card and the problem has shown up on that system once or twice.
I’m editing mostly Uncompressed 8 or 10 bit SDI.
