I can’t believe I’m the only one who can’t use the 5.1 drivers. They make my monitor flicker like crazy and all QT functions do the same, including stuttering audio. I’ve tried installing them at least 3 times and messing with all the prefs with the same result.

I’m on an otherwise no-problem G5 dual 2 gig with 2.5 gigs of RAM, OS10.4.0, QT 7.0,2 and FCP 5.0.2.

Are you loading up the quick setups? Maybe you have a hardware issue?

Quick setups? Don’t know what those are. My hardware seems to be alright, worked for the last year okay…

To load a Quick Setup hit CONTROL Q and pick the Blackmagic preset that suites your workflow.
See if that does anything. It really does sound like there is a mismatch somewhere.

DL Extreme working great on our dual 2.7, 4gb ram, Xraid, PCI Fibre card and Firmtek SATA 4 port card: mostly running 10bit uncompressed.

I also have problems with the drivers. I can only use 5.0 or 5.1 but in both cases they cause my timeline, and all the source files in my system to play back all messed up, basically the sound plays normally and the video plays back at almost twice the speed…

Even in the BMD Deck Control Software things play back too fast. And I have no desktop output, not FCP output, no output at all. I can capture, but that’s the only thing I can do. And who knows if what I’m capturing is being captured correctly.

It doesn;t seem to matter if it’s 10 bit uncomressed 4:2:2 or DV footage, it always plays bvack too fast when the BMD drivres are installed..
When I uninstall the BMD drivers., everything plays back at the right speed, video and audio are back in sync.

As I posted above i’ve reinstalled FCP, reinstalled the decklink drivers, replaced me Decklink SP card yesterday, and fixed all my permissions… still not working… HELP!!!

    Hi,
Are you sure, you are opening a sd project not an HD one. I had this problem when i accidently opened an hd projectinstead of sd.
