  Down Conversion

  Does anyone have any experience with the downconversion feature of the Decklink HD single link cards ?
  Is this feature solely for convenience montoring purposes only ?

  The component output looks so incredibly blurred, that it seems unusable for for SD mastering ? The SDI signal doesn’t seem much better ! Our SD based material looks a lot sharper, so what gives ?

  We’ve resorted to using dedicated standards conversion units, and it looks miles apart from the BM Decklink output ?

  Are we seing a malfunction or…. ?
