our dual 2.5 g5s (which run nuendo 3 primarily) seem to capture video incorrectly by one frame.

ie i set the in and out points to 09:59:50:00 and 10:01:10:00 respectively and grab the file (at photo jpeg high setting). when i check what i’ve digitised the file has actually been grabbed from 09:59:49:24 to 10:01:09:24. (i can verify this by grabbing the audio with bitc fro the bvw75)

this means every time i import a video file into nuendo i have to slip it back on frame. it’s very annoying.

i should say we use decklink 4.8 (with tiger) but have also tried 5.0 and it’s exactly the same. i find it hard to believe that we’re the only people who’ve noticed this.

    any suggestions?

    best wishes
    max

yeh i had the same problem.. just change the offset in the decklink device control panel in the audio/video settings.. the playback offset defaulted to 3 frames.. I changed mine to +4 and everything is spot on…

    hope this helps

    cheers

    thanks for the reply.

i’m assuming that you mean you changed the setting in nuendo? if so then that’s not the right way to do it.

all we had to do was to change the ‘get’ offset in the capture application by one frame. fyi another nuendo user said his digibeta needed a 2 frame offest.
