  BM MULTIBRIDGE EXTREME ANY NEWS??

  Hy guys,

  Are there any news concerning the release date of the new BMD Multibridge with pci-xpress. I have a couple of projects in stove waiting to be captured, edited and color corrected and I just can’t wait to get my hands on this new toy. But the release date is beeing delayed so many times… Please let me know, when for sure will it be released?

  Hi guys,

  How do I explain myself the sllence out there*

  a) nobody knowing when the product is due to come out on the market?
  b) no one beside me, beeing really interested in buying the new BMD multibridge with pci express?
  c) question beeing asked too many times in order to get any kind of answers?
  d) or maybe it’s just holliday season and guys having too many sangrias on the hot sun?

  lack of posts from BMD usually means they are burning the candles at both ends getting a new product out. (I have had no responses regarding the new “genlock offset” control panel).
  remember how long it took to get the original multibridge out and working? like a year?!?!
  sit and wait, or buy what is out and working if you have a money-making project. even when it comes out, who knows how long it will take to work out the inevitable bugs. these products are so reasonably priced, it can pay for itself quickly, and then you could sell it and get the next toy when it’s out.
  believe me, I wanted to wait for it when it when it was announced, but I’ve got work to do!

  I was at SMPTE in July and spoke with someone at the Black Magic booth who quoted a three week timeframe. This was middle of July, so middle of August would seem reasonable.
  I placed a PO for one in June, so hopefully one of the first few out the door shows up here.
  I’ll let you know when I get mine.

  Hi,

  I spoke with BM’s U.S. office today and was told that Multibridge Extreme is about 2 weeks out. And that’s for the 50 or so pre-orders on the books here. If you ordered today it would be more like “3-4 weeks at least”. Also, I inquired about the price of the PCI-X to Express bridge card for Mac G5 users and was told it should be in the range of $100 to $200. I was worried looking at the image on the web site that it would be more…
