So a couple weeks ago I started to get wonky, crazy, funkyjunk from my SDI outs, but not on the analog outs. The problem is remedied by restarting the machine, then a few minutes later the craziness starts happening again.

So I called blackmagic and the dude said I should bo back to os 10.3.8 and QT 6.5 which I did. This did noting to to fix the problem. It’s been really humid in Winnipeg lately and my building is poorly venilated, so I thought that might be causing a hardware malfunction, but the dude said it’s probably softeware.

So here I am, stuck with this wacky, crazy, funkyjunk, poopynoise from my SDI. Anybody else see this?

    OS 10.3.8
    G5 1.8 single
    Huge Mediavault
    Atto ul4d2
    final cut 4.5
    Sony DSR-45
    QT 6.5
    Decklink drivers 4.8

I get that on my decklink SP once in a blue moon, on the analogue outputs… crazy green and magenta noise… I digitized some of it once using the avid in the next room… but it got deleted… Oh well.

I restart and it works fine for months… I always thought it was some glitch in the decklink software or RAM issue or something but I’m not expert so that’s crazy talk on my part…

Maybe you should get in touch with your reseller – they might be able to suggest something or give you some tech support.

    Good luck.
