    Hi Everyone,
    I’m having some problems getting a stable DV preview out of my Decklink Extreme. I captured the DV footage on a laptop using the DV PAL preset then transfered the footage to our G5 and started a project with the Blackmagic DV – PAL preset, this works and I have a preview but when I work quickly Final Cut crashes. For instance when I ‘J’ or ‘L’ too quickly I get the spinning wheel of death.

    I’ve spent a night searching the forums and testing settings but have gone back to monitoring through a camera to cut today, this works with no problems but is what I bought the Decklink for. Does anyone else have these issues?

    Any help appreciated
    cheers James

    Hi James,

    We’re aware of this problem and a fix should be on it’s way soon. In the mean time, kindly download the v5.0b1 drivers here;

    I have had this problem for a week or so and it has caused me some trouble to say the least. I downloaded the driver and everything seems OK so far.

    Would it not have been possible to have highlighted the problem considering you knew about it, a lot of forum searching and re-installing may have been prevented. That’s not a critisism but really a question on how issues such as this are communicated to users. Without the presence of forums such as creative cow we would be in big trouble.
