HDV workflow for Broadcast (PAL) with Decklink Extreme
Hi,
I’m currently cutting a couple of 1/2 hour docs. for SD broadcast on FCP 5. Both were shot on a Sony HDV camcorder but will be delivered SD 16:9 anamorphic Digibeta.
What’s the best workflow. Do I capture HDV, edit HDV and record direct from the SDI output of the Extreme (i.e is the downconversion good enough quality?) or do I need to render at the very end?
Or perhaps I’m better off capturing SD component or DV ?
Any help appreciated.
