  Decklink HD – feature request

  Hi there

  I have a Decklink HD card and work a lot in both SD and HD.

  When I’m working in SD the card sometimes outputs an HD signal and my SD SDI monitor goes mad. This is normally when in idle, that is when I’m just about to Edit to Tape and all in Desktop mode in the finder.

  The system works fine when I action the Edit to Tape, its just reverts to HD in the idle time (Hope this makes sense)

  It would be great if we could control the Decklink function in System Preference so we can select whether the card is workings as a SD or HD card, so the users has control over what the card is functioning as.

  At the moment the card automatically works out what its working as either HD or SD, but this cause the above problem on idle times.
  It would be great if the use had control of this function to either force the card to be HD or SD and still have the option to have the card auto select.

  Is this possible on a future driver update?

  The KONA 2 card lets you select this with a great little piece of software that ships with their HD product. it controls up and down converts and lets you select video frame sizes and standards all from within a nice little package.
