  Need help capturing ASAP!!!!!

  For some reason I’ve been having trouble with my Sony BetaSP deck today. First, I lost the video output from the timeline in FCP and have no idea why. Could it be some preferences or settings problem I accidentally changed? I exported to the deck just fine yesterday and I could see the project on the studio monitor coming from the deck too. Now nothing.

  And now I can’t capture from the deck either. I have a Decklink SP with a dual 2.0 G5 on 10.3.9. What are the correct settings for a project in FCP for log and capture. Currently I’ve tried Blackmagic 8 bit and 10 bit and neither work. It says “VCR OK” in the log and capture window, but it also says “No video input” and doesn’t recognize when the beta tape plays. But it recognizes the timecode from the tape. Is this a settings issue with me? Any and ALL help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve got a spot that needs editing and this is slowing me down big time.

  Go into your OSX System Prefernces, click on Decklink Settings, and make sure your input and output is set to analog, not digital SDI.
