Is there a reason the HDLink comes with a power adaptor without the plug? Does it work without being pluged in? I thought maybe it was just missing it but I can’t see how it can fit in the box.

It does fit in the box. Blackmagic has always been very good at keeping their packaging to a minimum. I really like this because it requires less resources to created boxes and doesn’t produce useless empty space.

I really hate software boxes that are 9x12x4 that only have an install disk and a half-size manual inside.

That’s interesting. Mine didn’t come with one but it’s no big deal I have plenty extras. I was just curious if the AC was maybe not always required.

Actually, Chris, it doesn’t come with the “generic” three-prong cord that connects the “box” to the outlet. My bad.
