  HD SDI legalization?

  Hi, people

  I know it’s wise to get a scope to check the SDI signal. What does one look for besides levels?

  Does the blackmagic hd sdi card have any legalization function built in for 444 or 422 SDI output? Is there some kind of easy legalizer for HD SDI outputs?

  Why would we worry about eye patterns and jitter measurements?

  Wondering if it’s absolutely necessary to get a scope and what to look for specifically for HD QC.
