On the website I swear I did not see 720p24 supported in the new multibridge extreme.
    Did I miss something?

    Hi Rob,

Good question! I’ll send a message to our team at NAB 2005 and try to find out. It might take a few days but I’ll either amend that in our specs or else provide you with the relevant information.

    Hi Rob,

I just received an email from one of our engineers at the show. He has the following good news for you:

Think of Multibridge Extreme as an external DeckLink HD Pro with more connectors. Therefore, anything that the DeckLink HD Pro can do (all functionality in Final Cut Pro), the Multibridge Extreme can do. That includes VariCam (and 720p24).

    Hey Rob

I’m in Vegas right now and the big buzz at the Blackmagic booth is the Multibridge Extreme and Multibridge Studio. Like Luke said, everything the highend Decklink Pro HD card can do, the Extreme can do, plus a whole lot more. Like built in HDlink for driving an LCD monitor in HD, and functioing as a stand-alone converter box.

I finally know what I’ll be replacing my cinewave cards with.

    Cheers

    Thanks Guys
Sounds Awesome. And John, if you plan on using it I know it’s got to be the thing. I hope to link up when you get back, buy you lunch, and get an earful of the whole NAB adventure. Have a safe journey home gentlemen.
    Cheers,
