    Hi all,

I’m learning AE using AE 6.5 pro and I have created a globe with CC sphere. Now I would like to orbit video images around this globe. The images would appear from behind the globe and circle around it, as if they were wrapped around an invisible sphere surrounding my globe.

May seem basic to you gurus, but I’m stuck. Can anyone point me in the right direction to achieve this ? I’m not asking for a full tutorial, just some hints to further work on.

    Thank you.

If I remember correctly CC spere cannot use AE’s cameras. I think you need to animate CC sphere from the window that is associated with that effect. A big drawback I guess.

I’m also trying to do similar things so I’m curious to see others ideas.

    sincerely,
    Paul

    Looks like this:

It’s simple to understand but let me know if you stil have questions.

    Salut.

    Hi Serge,

Exactly what I was looking for. I was getting in the same direction making a precomp with the video files in reduced size and applying the sphere filter to this set in the final comp. Your workflow makes it clear that this is the way to go. Thank you for having taken the time to send us your project file. I am studying it now. Thanks again.

    Best wishes

Thanks for sending the project file. I’ll study it also. I was think more of doing flybys but this will probably make sense when I scrutinize it.
