  RGB vs CMYK

  hello
  i make an animation on after effects.i found out that if i import cmyk illustrator files i get better quality on the colors.
  what should i do?

  After Effects just like all video apps works in RGB. When you import files from AI they should be RGB as well. Read about Color Management in between Adobe apps here:

  Also, layered Illustrator and Photoshop files need to be saved in RGB or Grayscale color mode for After Effects to import them as a composition and to separate the layers. CMYK, LAB, Duotone, Monotone, and Tritone color modes are not supported for layered files; After Effects will import a file that uses one of these color modes as a single, flattened image.

  it is a bit confusing.
  i dont have the layer problem.all my layers remain the same and i can select and manipulate them individually.I import AI files with many layers each. there is no diference on that.
  i use CS5 suite.
  apart from that is there any special reason why i should NOT use CMYK?
  i get brighter colors with CMYK
