  Correcting a video with affecting the moving actors

  So this is what I’m doing, I have a video clip that I need in the film however the light that we used outside is way to bright coming in to simulate moonlight. Fixing it was the easy part part, especially when using the clone stamp in after effects. The problem I’m running into is when my actor walks in front of the clone stamped window. Because he’s on the same layer I see the corrections I made through his body. How do I fix this so he is not effected by my corrections when he walks in front of them in the video.

  You need to rotoscope the actor on a duplicate layer (without clone stamp) and move it above the layer with the clone stamp.

  How come you are using clone stamp on the window instead of colour/brightness correction tools with a mask? Is it that the brightness from the window is clipping in the whites?
