Calibrating Photoshop to After Effects
Hi
Using Photoshop to create RGB curves which are then imported into After Effects. But the issue I have is that my PS and AE aren’t in sync-calibrated. The exact same jpg brought into after effects looks much less saturated and lower in contrast.How can I best calibrate both applications os that the same uncorrected image will appear identical in both apps?

You need to use color management in After Effects.

It’s written for CS4, but still applies in CS5 and 5.5.

Make sure that you are not using Proof Colors (cmd-y on mac, ctrl-y on PC) in Photoshop, also choose an appropriate color profile for your After Effects working space and make sure that your footage item is correctly interpreted.

Try applying the NTSC filter (“filter” “video” “NTSC colors”) in Photoshop if you’re working with a broadcast project. Your project settings in After Effects will determine how to go about “syncing” the two.
