Am I missing something with regards to Pete’s free plug-in bundle for the Mac?

I have download his file & placed it in my Plug-in folder but they are not showing up.

I am still running AE 5.5 on OSX 3.9. I’ve searched the archive but nothing conclusive shows up.

    TIA.

Not to state the obvious, but the downloaded file would be a “Stuffed”-file, you have to unpack it using Stuffit Expander,
It should become a folder with dozens of AE-plugins: that folder should go into your plug-in folder, not the .sit file.

    Is that the problem ?
If not, I’m not sure what’s wrong.

yeah, un-stuffed it. I have all these plug-ins temptingly close but they just don’t registar in the programme. I have place them in HD/applications/adobe/AE5.5/Plug-ins/Standard folder so they are in the same place as other but still nothing.

I have quit the programme a number of times & shifted folders but still nothing.

There is nothing else I need to run these is there?

Searching around in the AE5.5 prefernces text-file, I found this:

    [“OS X Plug-in Section”]
    “Load Non-Carbon Plug-ins” = “0”

see if changing that to 1 fixes the problem.
(I don’t have 5.5 installed anymore, but maybe it’s also just a tick-box in the pref-window, though I don’t remember ever seeing it there)
