  Flash vs AE

  Hello,

  I’m a Flash Professional developer and am able to create 2D Flash animations.

  I’m being asked to create a variety of animations that will appear on stills. The client is working in PowerPoint and exporting to Flash with Articulate. The animations will include images of people and a variety of objects moving.

  I know I can achieve this in Flash, however, my sense is that AE could achieve a more realistic look. I’m not an AE developer, but I’m in the process of learning AE.

  Are there any rules of thumb, guidelines, or suggestions regarding what can be achieved for animations in AE for such an application that cannot be achieved as well in Flash?
