  Photoshop or Illustrator for scanned drawings to use in AE?

  I want to use drawings I’ve scanned to use in a 3d project in AE; since I’ll need to resize a lot, Illustrator seems best, but since ‘scanned drawings’ would appear to fall more into the photo category, would I do better with PS? What format would be best in which to scan the drawings? Thanks!

  You can scan the drawings, clean them up in PSD and then vectorize the in AI. The automatic process needs a bit of trial and error but you can get some really good results. Also. depending on the type of drawing you use, you may want to draw just the lines and scan them, then turn that to vectors and color in AI.
