  How to customize/reset EFFECTS MENU CATEGORIES

  Does anyone know how to customize or at least reset the categories within the effects menu? AE CS5 recently “re-categorized” many of my third-party plug-in suites and tossed numerous individual plug-ins into a new “Other” category (including all videocopilot plug-ins). I’ve spent the better part of this morning searching for a solution, to no avail; my apologies if I missed the relevant thread. Thanks.

  The effects in the menu are normally displayed according to the folder structure of the Plug-Ins folder in the AE program folder. Unless this has been changed I don’t know of any reason you’re effects menu structure would change. Maybe check to see if that has been altered.
