  Military UI

  Hello, I was trying to create some Military UI and loading bars in after effects.
  Now im sure you will say use shape layers but it never seems to look right,
  below are some examples I want to create it to be like.

  First thing in a project like this is art direction and design. Adobe Illustrator is a program better suited for that. Once you have come up with the look and feel, then decide what elements you want animated and break up the design in layers. Import those in AE and animate & apply effects.
