  Tilde over a letter

  I’m stumped. I need to write out senor with with tilde symbol over the “n”. How do I do this in After Effects?

  The same way you would do it in a word processor. I just open up my character map, copy and paste it. You know what? Here: ñ copy and paste it from here 🙂

  Just to add for the future on a PC, go to your start menu > accesories > system tools. You will find character map there. You can look up all the characters for any font you have installed.

  Just to round out these instructions, on a Mac, you can hit -, followed by the N key again, to get an ñ.

  You can also go to System Preferences > Keyboard, check the “Show Keyboard & Character Viewer in menu bar” box, then use the new menu bar item to open the Character Viewer to access all the extended characters.

  Create a text layer and hold down ‘ALT’ while you type in succession

  0241

  Depending on your font, it should be a lowercase ñ
  Uppercase is ALT + 0209
