I just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Yosemite (Mountain Lion on some machines)

When I remote into these systems now (using Real VNC) and the VNC setup on the MAC’s I’m greeted by a log in screen (even though the MAC is up, logged in and working).

    Log in Screen:

How can I remove this and go directly to the desktop.

You have to log in directly on the mac and agree to everything before you can screen share into it. It’s annoying and when we had a mac without a video card gave us a real headache. You should check out Splashtop for Business btw. Super easy way to manage lots of computers.

    Thanks John.

What do you mean by “agree to everything”.

The MAC’s are on and working.
They are being used for Edit sessions and everything is fine with then.

I just don’t like the fact that I can’t connect directly to the desktop like I did before.

Ah, usually that means agreeing to all the OS X terms and conditions. if you’re already past that, then it’s possible your VNC connection needs to be rebuilt due to changes in yosemite. I don’t use VNC, but perhaps it’s a setting that needs to be enabled in System Prefs / Sharing. Is Screen Sharing and remote login checked?

I’m using Remote Management. I’ve never needed Remote Login in the past.

Screen Sharing is controlled by Remote Management.
Turning on Remote Login doesn’t make a difference.

It may just be one of the “Improvements” in Yosemite.
