  Adobe Media encoder not seeing Quicktime

  i have media encoder CS6 installed on Mavericks …….. in trying to transcode media to Prores. Encoder does not seem to be able to make quicktime a preset. I tried everything including importing a preset which it says is not recognised ….

  Is that am OS X thing or an Adobe thing ?
