  Apple ProRes won’t Play in QuickTime after update to Mavericks

  I just updated to Mavericks and work with FCP7. Everything works within FCP7 but when I try and preview any of my videos in QuickTime it tries to convert them. I’m working with large format ProRes video and I don’t have the time or space to convert them. I’ve tried the apple pro codec update and that hasn’t fixed the problem. Am I doomed to having to put videos into FCP to preview anything now? We record on AJA KiPro’s and so our format isn’t going to change. Any help is appreciated.
