I am trying to figure out how to lock OS X to 10.8.2 and deny any app store updates without authorization, since they do not require a password now my editors have a tendency to run updates because badge counters show up. We just installed a new Facilis system and I’d like to lock the OS in until they give the all-clear on future OS X support.

    Any ideas? Suggestions?

Make the main user login as a non-administrator user. This will prevent the editors from logging in, upgrading etc.
