  assign certain programs to different sound cards

  Hey guys – I have os x setup with two individual sound cards (one is built in, the other is a USB dongle). I use this setup to direct Final Cut Pro audio to the USB dongle, which allows me to run both cards into a mixing board. However, I’d love if I were able to direct certain programs within Os X to each sound card individually (ie. Spotify to one, VLC to another). Is this possible? Are there any programs out there that allow you to direct apps like FCP without this ability built in? Thanks.

  Sadly, I don’t think OSX lets automated routing of audio occur.
