  Please suggest a replacement boot drive for 27 inch 3 yr old imac

  Bought my kids a used imac that had one of the infamous bad 1 tb Seagates in it. That drive did this week, the local service guy has the imac opened up and ready for a transplant. Can you suggest a proper 2 or 3 TB replacement drive that has the right connectors and everything for the thermal sensing?

  Hey Mark,

  Check with Apple to make sure that drive isn’t under warranty. I had one replaced in our 2009 imac for free, no apple care or anything.
